Now, in 2015, on the 25th anniversary of the unveiling of the Canadian Tribute to Human Rights Monument in Ottawa, lights will finally shine on the monument thanks to a generous grant by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The lighting is dedicated to the memories of Melvin Charney who designed the monument, and Philip Gabriel (founder of Gabriel Mackinnon Lighting Design) who designed the lighting plan.
