New to our portfolio – a collaboration with Origin Studios and Kubik Maltbie, GMLD provided lighting design for a private exhibit space for our client, a family-owned company with a long history of innovation. The corporate history center is intended to celebrate the client’s culture and theirĀ importance in the Canadian technology landscape. The visitor’s centre a offers corporate guests the ability to delve into the corporate archive and explore the contributions to their industry.
Our team at Gabriel Mackinnon provided complete exhibit lighting design services for the project, illuminating a variety of museum and gallery elements. Graphic walls, three dimensional artifacts, interactive touch walls, an immersive theatre, touch screens, seating areas, and display cases round out this full featured exhibit.
The lighting design features a family of sleek linear light fixtures by XAL and other manufacturers, incorporating track heads and quiet cellular lighting elements. Linear lighting assemblies are arranged in a radial array, with dynamic angles assisting in wayfinding and bringing a bold and vibrant atmosphere to the 3200 square foot exhibit space. Lighting is also incorporated into a family of playful drums, creating an inviting seating area to anchor the exhibit space.
You can view more photos and details of the exhibit on our portfolio.
