GMLD have been working on the iconic home of Global Affairs Canada located at 125 Sussex since 2019. We are pleased to be collaborating with with Dialog, PSPC and BGIS on this massive multiyear renovation, which is planned to take place over 8 years.
GMLD is providing lighting design for the exterior facade, landscape and grounds, as well as the heritage lobby. The project is expected to be installed in 2028, so our team has developed performance specifications that can be made current at the time of ordering fixtures. The contract documents are separated into phases to suit the construction phasing. We at GMLD have lots of practice completing long and complex projects, often serving as the corporate memory for portions of the design. We are also often called upon like at Pearson to present the lighting design for review and approval to stakeholder groups like ACPDR and FHBRO.
