YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre officially opens to the public today. Gabriel Mackinnon worked with exhibit designers Reich and Petch and a large project team to provide lighting design for the 26,000 square foot facility, which cost $8 million to complete.
Lighting plays a strong role in creating drama for the exhibit, including features like lasers, blacklights and moving spotlights to make the exhibits come to life for the grade 6 students that will visit.
The space is receiving great press; here are links to some of the stories:
Kudos to the GMLD team that made this project happen, led by Raivo Nommik, our resident museum and exhibit lighting specialist. Great job! More photos to come soon, when we add this project to our portfolio. Does your project need lasers? Get in touch!
