Brockville Court House Façade
The Court House facade is an iconic structure in Brockville, a historic city on the St. Lawrence Seaway. The lighting solution uses an innovative application of small scale building floodlights, discreetly incorporated onto the back of the new three-globe posts that re-create a heritage lighting condition. While the globes illuminate the street and softly light the lower facade, the tiny building floodlights fill in the upper storey and reveal the complete volume of the building. Small scale LED fixtures reveal heritage details to complete the composition.
Compared to the existing, traditional condition of ground-mounted floodlights our solution reduces the risk of vandalism, eliminates glare to pedestrians, simplifies maintenance and eliminates the clutter in the landscape.
